Lamu Cultural Festival – 25th-27th November 2011
The three day festival showcases dances, handicraft and competitions on water & land (Swahili poetry, donkey races, dhow races), and musical performances.

Maulidi Festival – 13th-16th February 2012
In Lamu, this festival has for more than a century been a feature of East Africa’s Islamic festivities. Maulid is an Islamic festival held during the third month of the Muslim calendar to celebrate the birth of the Prophet. See Lamu Dhow Race schedules
